At mealtimes, my grandfather used to take his ration of pills, which he had previously stashed in one of his pill boxes. He was of a rather hypochondriacal nature and suffered from depression on and off throughout his life. In 1942 he took his first cure in the climatic health resort of Wölfelsgrund in Lower Silesia.
